A few Vedic mantras on Deadly Disease of Society– Corruption— Save Sanatan Vedic Dharma

Subject: Fw: Vedas at your doorstep_ A few Vedic mantras on Deadly Disease of Society– Corruption— Save Sanatan Vedic Dharma

Indian democracy is fast drifting toward Oligarchy and even Mobocracy, owing to wide spread corruption parading up and down in Govt corridores, market and religious places and many other areas. There is no effort by government, political Netas, religious leaders, social organisations etc; to curb it.  Make hay while the Sun shines is the only visible policy every where.

Let us all eliminate jointly this deadly disease from India by following simple but noble and divine teachings of Vedas, which are specifically meant for the existing Kali yuga (Dark Age).

Thanks  VPG

Dear Seekers of Vedic knowledge,

A few mantras/riks in the Vedas on hydra headed corruption are mentioned below.

Hydra headed Corruption is a major subject in the Vedas

R.V.1-191-81, 1-28-4, 2-14-3 and many other hymns relate to corruption. It is hydra headed with nine heads later depicted in Ramayana in the nine corrupt/evil heads of Ravana. It enters human body through 99 sources (9X11) i.e. through 5 senses, 5 sense organs and outward looking mind. Later 99 sources were depicted in 99 evil minded/corrupt sons of blind king Dhritrashtra in Mahabharata.

The Vedic rsis and munnies had also visualized that material prosperity alone may turn a number of individuals into avarnas, vritras and other evil minded people, resulting in lack of transparency, corrupt practices and make an ideal open society into a closed society. (R.V.1-191-8, 1-28-4 and 24, 1-76-3, 2-14-3, 4-9-9).

Rig-Veda 1-104-3 refers to corruption as misappropriation of public funds, taking bribe for money belonging to the state and trusts and when the individual’s action results in the reduction of state revenue or the revenue of the institution where he/she is a trustee.

Rig Veda.1-42-3 mentions bribe takers are thieves of God and those learned persons who justify corruption are also corrupt. Rig-Veda 3-34-6 again refers to bribe takers as thieves and robbers. A.V. 3-18-1 to 6 refers to debauchery, rape and adultery as heinous crimes and part of hydra headed corruption.

Sam Veda while, mentioning 99 sources of corruption and evil, also calls it a disease which goes on increasing with all material treatment and makes the power of soul and human spirit weaker and weaker (Sama Veda 913 and 179).

Ninety-nine sources of evils are also mentioned in A.V. 20-1-1. The society and the state should make all roads and paths free from danger and fear by either punishing wicked and corrupt persons or reform them through Vedic education and knowledge. A few other references on corruption are briefly given as below.
Bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of righteous… such persons are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the ways of justice. It takes ten years for the seed of corruption to become an evil tree and its poison spreads in the family, amongst friends and others. Bribery is against the laws of God (Rta) as all wealth belongs to Him and bribe takers are thieves of the God.

For the seekers of Vedic knowledge (harmonized divine, spiritual and material) for on line reading and even taking print free of cost “Glimpses of Vedic Metaphysics” is available on the Internet at Website http://www.sabhlokcity.com/metaphysics/ Book is also accessible through search engines of google.com, lulu.com and yahoo.com. It is not a book on Vedanta but an elementary book for the seekers of Vedic knowledge..

Kindly render divine social service and convey this Website to others who are seekers of Vedic knowledge.
With kind regards,

Yours Spiritual Brother,
P.K.Sabhlok

Kindly see my earlier e-mail Vedic messages where I have stated that Vedic thoughts reached holy Bible through Plato, St. Augustine, St. Acquinas and others. Atharva Veda tells us when Soul was provided to human beings Vedic thoughts and metaphysics were revealed.  Thus many Vedic thoughts enetred in scriptures in many other parts of the world.

Vedic thoughts on corruption can be seen in the holy Bible.

"Holy Bible has many references to corruption. There is a mention that society is now building ‘Mount of corruption’ (2 Kin 23-12). Cause of corruption is deceitful lust and corruptible things on this earth are gold, silver etc., (2 Peter 1-4, Ephesians 4- 22 and Peter 1-18). Bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of righteous (Deuteronomy 16-19), … for you are like white washed tombs, which are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness…such persons are within full of hypocrisy and iniquity (Mathew.23.27-28). A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the ways of justice (Prov 17-23). A corrupt man would call God, as Lord but will never do any thing that God says Luke.6-46. Being slaves of corruption they will not even call their corrupt ideas, habits and actions as evil and will finally perish in their own corruption, depravity and bondage 2.Peter 2-19. For he who sows in his flesh will of flesh reap corruption…Galatians 6-8. The holy Bible has a large number of commandments, injunctions and spiritual and moral advises even directly from Jesus to all the human beings against various kinds of corruption and evils. Pope Pius XI had also spoken against accumulation of wealth with immense power and despotic economic domination concentrated in the hands of a few who administer them at their good pleasure… so that no one dare breathe against their will. He has mentioned this as against the laws of God as all the wealth belongs to Him."

Supreme Formless and Ineffable Reality- Nirguna Brahma as described in Vedas

The study of Vedas is the supreme virtue. (Bhagavad-Gita)

It is high Time Vedic thoughts, teachings and guidelines reach each and every house/home to save mankind from self destruction and also to revive Vedic Civilization to assist the Supreme Reality in the maintenance of Thy Grand wondrous Design.

The Supreme Reality as described in Vedas

In the Vedas the Universal God (Brahman) is formless, ineffable (nirguna) and Unmoved Mover. As Sankracharya says, “ to describe Brahman even the words recoil.”

However, based on the Vedic metaphysics whatever description of God is given, it can at best be a glimpse of His omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence.  He makes Himself felt whether as Adrsta – unseen cosmic power or the Supreme Reality as impersonal God. It is mainly because human senses and reason cannot analyze Him.

Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”; wise men call Brahman by different names. The souls in all human beings are the subtle particles (ansh) of the same Supreme Soul- Paramatma.

Since the entire cosmos and universe both visible and invisible continues to expand and is described as Brahamand so the Vedic metaphysicists and wise sages (rsis and munnies) found an appropriate epithet for the nameless God as Brahman.  In the Rig Veda He is also mentioned as Vishnu- one who spread in Viswa. In Yajur and Atharva Vedas epithets for God are mentioned as Shiva, Shankar Brahma and Shambhu.

Upanishads describe Nirguna Brahma- the ineffable God as, “Whole is that, whole too is this and from the whole, whole cometh and take whole, yet whole remains."

A few Vedic hymns can be mentioned for proper understanding of Nirguna Brahma who is the Universal God.

Rig Veda 6-15-13, 14 mentions that He is a pure illuminator, unifier, remover of all miseries, commands all to observe non-violence and other rules of righteousness, which are a-priori principles beyond any sense experiences.

Rig-Veda 6-47-18 says that for each form, He is the Model. It is His Forms that are to be seen everywhere, in spiritual and material things. His Spirit exists in all animate and inanimate life/things but is manifest in the human beings where God dwells in their hearts (Sama Veda 860). A similar description that He dwells in the human hearts is also there in Bhagavad-Gita and Srimad Bahgavatam.  Rig Veda 1-9-5 and 6 mentions that God is the Lord of knowledge, infinite wisdom and material wealth. He pervades the matter and the whole space (A.V.19-20-2). Hence matter is not inert and has unsuspected vitality.

All the four Vedas describe that He and His cosmic laws (Rta) are the same. Those who follow His laws and commandments can realise Him in one birth. He is unborn (ajo) and incarnation of God as a human being is not visualised (Y.V.34-53, 40-8 and A.V. 10-23-4). He lives within you and you live within Him as one of His tiny living cells.

Nevertheless, the highest concept of divine mercy is reached that HE permits His children all things to be said about Him even if you do not believe in Him. Thus, toleration is an important teaching of Vedic metaphysics. Vedic hymns clearly mention that He is at your disposal but on His terms and not your terms. He expects you not to disturb violently His Design of the earth and the universe.

Every thing belongs to Him, we use it only temporarily, whether it is food, air, water and He expects all of us not to over use these (Sama Veda 274). We should keep wealth and all material possessions only for our preservation lest we become exploiters by taking away some one else’s share. Sama Veda 274 clearly advises need-based living.

According to Rig Veda 10-90-13 to 17, the entire universe is His body. Sun and Moon are His eyes, Earth is His feet and Heaven is His head. Our eyes can see 1/4th of Brahamand (entire cosmos within and beyond visual range). He acts by the necessity of His nature. His decrees are eternal truths and with dedicated and transcendental research, all these truths can be found out for the welfare of self, society and mankind

Yajur Veda 40-5 tells us that He is within the entire universe and surrounds it externally. For those who want to realise Him, they have to follow the path of moderation, righteousness and cosmic laws of necessity (Rta), which are permanent truths and His Commandments. Kena Upanishad 2-5 mentions that God can be realised in one life. If you do not realise in one life, you are a great loser.

The most beautiful description of Brahma is given in the Vedantic School of Indian philosophy, based on Upanishads. There was neither being nor not being, neither vayu (air) nor akash (ether) which is beyond…neither death nor immortality existed, no distinction was yet between day and night, darkness was first concealed in darkness and all this was indiscriminate chaos. In that stage of shuniya (cosmic void), apart from that nothing was there whatsoever. It was when desire as the perennial germ of the mind arose for the first time and the entire cosmos was born out of cosmic Golden Egg (Hiranya garbha). The One, which was covered by cosmic Void (shuniya), was manifested through the light of Tapas (spiritual fire) (R.V X-129-1 to 3).

Thus the One Lord of all that moves and that is fixed, of what walks, what flies became the Lord of all this multiform creation (R.V. III-54-8).

The Cosmic Word OM becomes the raft of knowledge. According to Yajur Veda XL-17, this word OM is Brahma Itself. "OM Khamma Brahma"- OM Thy name is Brahma. Through this Word, He not only created Prakrti and Universe but also protects the same with the divine energy coming out of Shabad Brahma. This cosmic word OM is from the root Ava (to protect).

His all Forms are supreme in design and beauty. As He pervades every where and all material objects are His manifestations, so in this phenomenal world, we can see Him through many forms like the Sun, Moon, mountains, sea and even human beings etc., but He remains Formless. Thus His forms are His creative art Maya (R.V. VI-45-16, VI-47-18. S.V. 1710 and A.V. VI- 36-3). As God’s attributes are infinite being ineffable, the hymns at best only give glimpses of His attributes.

Those who believe in one formless and ineffable God, invariably follow the philosophy of Vedic Iddm Nan Mam- nothing for self all for society.

The believers of One God are invariably transparent and follow the path of truth and non-violence in thought and action.

It is thus quite apparent for the entire mankind that movement is generally towards pluralism, animism, fanaticism, fundamentalism, gurudom, kingdom of priests and extreme materialism. It is for the mankind to decide to live without His divine guidance owing to the vehement effect of Maya- a huge cosmic saw with sharp teeth OR to pass through the gap between these teeth and seek the only One Supreme Realty and remain under His divine guidance by following His commandments and laws. All the main scriptures of major religions have confirmed based on transcendental research that He is pure love, merciful, benevolent and perfect knowledge. Knowing Him is bliss and not knowing Him is ignorance and misery.

Relevance of Vedas and their teachings/guidelines for the Modern Age

Main Vedic Thoughts

Dear Spiritual Brothers and Sisters,

A number of seekers of Vedic knowledge have desired to know what are the main teachings, guidelines and thoughts in Vedas. My study as an ordinary simple follower of Vedic Sanatan Dharma reveal the following.
Relevance of Vedas for Modern Age

1. Lately we all find that our social interaction is limited to our families, friends, relations etc as community welfare is never our main aim/motto of life- Vedas aim at building Social Capital of the followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma. Vedas therefore, guide us to community welfare/Universal Brotherhood/One Global Family i.e. Viswa Banhutva and Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam.

2. In social service the concept of Success is difficult to define- so Vedas advise it is better to be a man of value than of success. For Value system Vedas have a science of Axiology covering comprehensively all Idealistic. Ideational and sensate values .

3. Research in social sciences and medical sciences has found that helping others not for recognition is good for heart. It is great way to exercise your heart and soul. On social service there are a number of mantras/riks/hymns in Vedas.

4. Vedas specifically guide us to modern sociologists TEACH principle of Transparency, Ethics, Accountability, Conduct and Human welfare.

5. Unless self rule (Swaraj) is at the grass root level in Democracy, the rulers tend to become autocratic, corrupt, hypocrite and tyrannical. So Vedas advise us to establish two main institutions of Swaraj viz. Vidhta and Sabha and scientific rules for governance for the welfare of the citizens.

6. Ishta theory of Vedas describes paths could be different so long as these paths aim at the welfare of mankind and other animate and inanimate life. Similarly after study of Vedas six schools of Indian philosophy (Sad Darshana)- based on monism, Dualism, and even Atheism developed  but all aimed at the welfare of mankind. Thus Vedas in whatever way we describe are meant for the welfare of mankind.
Vedas do not consider matter as inert and explain in a large number of hymns that matter has unsuspected vitality. All religions should aim at unity in diversity i.e. (should lead to universal brotherhood-viswa bandhutva), global family of the same One God (vasudhaivan kutumbkam), global trade and global market for the material and spiritual welfare of mankind

The Supreme Reality being Nirguna Brahman-formless, ineffable and self-created, avoid explaining God through categories, substance, activity, quality and relationship. HE is beyond cognition, perception of human senses, logic of mind and intellect. Words recoil to explain the Supreme Reality. Only true and harmonized material, spiritual and divine knowledge (para jnan) can unite all religions to compete with each other for the welfare of mankind.

For the theists with material and intellectual knowledge, multiplicity of gods is seen in the form of idols, icons and incarnation of God as a human being. Any individual who starts moving towards para jnan (higher knowledge), all arguments start and end at One formless and ineffable God who is Sat, Chit, Anand – the only reality, supreme consciousness, and bliss.

What is admirable in the Vedas is that their powerful and comprehensive philosophy was created for all ages and for the entire mankind. This philosophy was made available at a time when most parts of the world had hallucinations of ghosts getting out of dead bodies, when shadow was interpreted as the soul, spirit, ghosts, and the soul was considered to be getting out of the body at night during dreams. It was the period when the concept of inner and outer world was highly confused. Out of fear complex the ancient man worshipped snakes, animals, plants, and clouds by creating millions of gods with form. When in most parts of the world the religion of animism was wide spread, the Vedic metaphysics was getting developed in the areas which now lie in the states of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Georgia, Pakistan and some Northern parts of India. Arya Vrata was the land spreading up to Parshavas (Persia), Ariana(later Iran) and this land was not a fairy tale country, since the Vedas nowhere describe mythology as part of metaphysics.

The Dark Age or Kaliyuga has the predominance of avarnas and vritras (non divine people) In this Age owing to spread of only material and intellectual knowledge bereft of divine and spiritual knowledge, the predominant features are superstitions, unscientific outlook, blind faith, hypocrisy, naked selfishness and wide spread corruption. Fake gurus and god-men who get hallucination that they are the incarnation of various gods on this earth, multiply. Thus Vedic metaphysics meant for the guidance of human beings of this Dark Age is largely ignored. However, the study of Vedas would reveal that Vedic gurus (Gu- darkness and Ru- to dispel) are the dispellers of both inner and outer darkness. They are more like Socrates, Mencius, St Augustine, Immanuel Kant, Sankrachrya, Guru Nanak and swami Daya Nanda and do not bear any resemblance to the modern god men, gurus, babas, tantriks and swamis.

Vedas explain scientifically Brahmajnan which is harmonized divine, spiritual and material knowledge.

Vedic economics Artha and Vedic physical sciences are based on matter with unsuspected vitality

Purpose of human birth is to assist the Supreme Architect (Viswakarma) in the maintenance of Thy Grand wondrous Design by following Rta (Laws of Narure). Having created these Laws even God follows these Rta sternly.
Atharva Veda explains why Vedas are Shruti (Heard/Revealed)? Atharva Veda tells us when soul (atma) was provided to human beings by the Supreme Soul (Paramatma), Vedas were revealed through Rsis and Munniesof yore. Human soul is Vachispatiah- one can communicate with it as in contains all the knowledge of Vedas.

Education system for allocating four Varnas (divine professions) has been explained in great details in Vedas.

Physical Sciences of matter with unsuspected vitality are very useful but Scientific Temper is more important.

Many other subjects, concepts and thoughts are there in Vedas which can be mentioned briefly.

Equality of men and women, all Religions based on local conditions, environments, culture should compete for the welfare of mankind-

Concept of A-priori Knowledge known to human soul

Need to follow path of Moderation and enlightened liberalism-Iddam nan mmam

Earth is not a quarry for material exploitation but a benign Mother

No concept of caste system based on birth but concept of four divine professions (Chatvar Varna Ashram) and four stages of life.

Role of Old people, nine kinds of evils. corruption and negative thoughts entering Human body through 99 sources os senses, sense organs and outward looking mind “Etani”

Vedas contain Spiritual Science against present egoistic commercial spiritualism

Rtam, Satyam dharmmam. Rtam Laws of Nature are eternal truths (satyam) and following these Rtam is Vedic Dharma.

Physical sciences and scientific temper, role of soul, manifested soul, and spirit in human body which is described as tri-ani-pada i.e. three bodies in one (1) divine body having immortal Souls, (2) spiritual body containingJeeva (spirit), intellect (Buddhi). Ego and inward looking mind and material body containing five senses, five sense organs, outward looking mind and other material instruments and many other major and minor subjects like Republic, Democracy, role of bureaucrats, Rulers, Commander-in-chief,Ashvinau (scientists), Ribhu (Industrialists), Guru (Preceptors) as dispellers of inner and outer darkness etc.

Cosmic Laws of Necessity (Vedic Rta/Rit)

Subject: Fw: For Seekers of Vedic Knowledge- Cosmic Laws of Necessity (Vedic Rta/Rit)

“Rtam, Satyam, Dharmmam”– Cosmic Laws (Rta) are eternal truths (Satyam) and following these Laws of Nature is Vedic Dharma

Rtam, Satyam, Vijnani” Rig Veda 1-75-5- knowing and finding out these Laws of Nature (Rta) is Knowledge.

Dear Seekers of Vedic Knowledge,

Subject:  Brief description of Vedic Rta- Cosmic Laws of Necessity

In about 17,000 mantars/riks/hymns four Vedas contain umpteen material (relating to perishable), spiritual (relating to withdraw able) and divine (relating to eternal) subjects. Cosmic Laws of Necessity (Rta) contained in the Book of Nature is a major subject of Vedas.

For the cosmic laws the terms used in the Vedas are Rta, Ritane and Vratani. Yajur Veda 6-4 ordains “O, man study God's works of creation, preservation and dissolution whereby He determines His laws. Atharva Veda 4-1-3 tells us that from the bosom of the sacred cosmic word OM, He brought forth the world- on high, below where He abides in His own Laws.

According to Yajur Veda 26-1, we get true knowledge of these cosmic laws from seven forces of the Nature viz.; the Sun, Moon, firmament, waters, clouds, fire and the earth, which are all beneficial to the mankind and make our paths pleasant and comfortable. Taittrya Upanishad 1-2 says, if religion is dharma(righteousness) , it is then Rta.

The great importance given to Rta in the Vedas can be appreciated from the description of these laws in Rig Veda 1-75- 5 where it says, " ritam. satyam vijnani ", which would literally mean "absolute truth which is Rta, is the only true knowledge."

Rig Veda 1-24-15 clearly says that by following these laws, you remain away from misery and get bliss. There is also a prayer in Rig Veda 1-25-1," O, merciful God, be kind to us as we violate your laws, knowingly and unknowingly day after day." Obviously this simple prayer is a reminder to the men and women to start knowing, understanding and following these laws for their own interest as well as for the interest of the entire man kind and other animate life. By following these laws one can understand the Purpose of Human Birth which Vedas tell us is “to assist the Viswakarma (Supreme Architect) in the maintenance of His grand wondrous Design.

These holy laws are inviolable, immutable and eternal (R.V.1-12-7 and 1-24-10). If at any stage the concept of righteousness deviates even slightly from the divine laws conveyed to us through the divine Nature Prakrti as Rta, that is no longerDharma.

Rig-Veda 1- 22-8 decrees that all things in this world, middle region and heaven follow eternal laws ordained by Him. Yajur Veda 24-42 further tells us that all pathways HE guides with Rtawhich are also moral laws. Aittrya Upanishad 4-1 and Taittrya Upanishad 1-2 reiterate this divine truth.

Each Vedic Rta is complete in itself and no further evolution in these laws is possible. These are for once and ever. If any Rtais different for different periods of history, area or country, it is not RtaThese laws of God and for some as laws of Nature are applicable universally and for all periods to come in the future as well. Tampering and transgressing these laws is misery and death (Y.V. 25-13 and A.V 3-30-4).

Those opposed to Rta and Satya produce for themselves deep abyss of sufferings (R.V.1-5-20, 4-5-5, 5-51-2). By ignoring the two Vedic concepts i.e. Rta and Iddm Nan Mmam (Vedic enlightened liberalism) the individuals can precipitate cosmic and social disorder. Those opposed to Rta and Satya produce for themselves deep abyss of sufferings (R.V.1-5-20, 4-5-5, 5-51-2).
Those who are seekers of Vedic knowledge can find more details and a large number of Vedic Rta in Chapter 2 of the Book on the Internet for on line reading and even taking print at no cost. Website is http://www.sabhlokc ity.com/metaphys ics/

Kindly forward it to those who are seekers of Vedic knowledge. Also please feel free to improve this book based on Vedic metaphysics ONLY.

With kind regards,
Prem Sabhlok

PS
Kindly feel free to improve this Vedic message strictly and truthfully based on Vedic hyms/riks/mantras.

2. Vedic concept of scientific temper even advises us to improve/discover new cosmic laws of necessity. Till date in the last a few thousands years no none could improve or even discover fresh/nre Rta which are more useful for the welfare of mankind.

Revive Vedas and save mankind from self destruction.

Metaphysics of Plato is Vedas Re-told in the West – It is high time to revive in the East

I like to think someone will trace how the deepest thinking of India made its way to Greece and from there to the philosophy of our times in Europe. (John Archibald Wheeler- eminent scientist)

Metaphysics of Plato is Vedas Retold in the West

Subject: the influence of Vedic “rsis and munnies” on PLATO

Let noble thoughts come to us from all sides. (Rig Veda)

Dear seekers of Vedic knowledge,

The metaphysics of Socrates and Plato influenced so much the Western social and spiritual thought and brought enlightenment to the West that today WEST describes “Plato as philosophy and philosophy as Plato.” We the followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma in India seem to have forgotten that that source of his writings and philosophy was Vedic metaphysics. Before Plato, Pythagoras went from Samos (Greece) to land of Ganga to learn Geometry. He would not have gone such a long and strange journey had the reputation of Brahmin’s (Vedic) science not been long established in Europe. (Francois. M. Voltaire).

Plato left Athens for about one decade and visited Prasava (Persia), Ariana (Iran) and North West part of the then India-land of Aryans. He seems to have discussed a number of metaphysical concepts with the then Vedic Rsis and Munnies. On his return to Athens, he propagated those thoughts without making any reference to Vedic rsis and munnies. However, the influence of Vedic metaphysics is clearly visible in Plato’s writings/books.

Like the Vedic concept of moderation and Iddm nan mam (enlightened liberalism) Plato mentions in his Laws (174-f) and also in Utopia that in an Ideal state the range of economic disparities should be within 1:16. If the range of disparity increases marginally, the state is less ideal. However, if it increases considerably, the state is either a Democracy or an Oligarchy. The rulers in both tend to be tyrannical, corrupt, and hypocritical.
In his metaphysics, Plato says that the soul of virtuous people becomes lighter and goes toward heaven by moving upward after death and that of the non-virtuous, being heavier, it stays near the earth and is the cause of rebirth. On rebirth, people may be born in one of the nine kinds of families professing different faiths, religions, as well as in the different regions of the earth. Plato thus becomes one of the few ancient Western philosophers who gave a perfect philosophical theory on secularism and universal brotherhood which in the East Vedic rsis and munnies had already conveyed through Vedas.

In an ideal state, which he described as Republic, divine guidance is the maximum and in Tyranny it reaches its minimum and world dissolution (VedicPralaya) comes when that divine guidance is totally withdrawn. Like Vedic metaphysics Plato confirms that life in this vast turbulent ocean of matter- the material world is an illusion of comfort (Vedic Maya) and described the gross world as a phenomenal world. Plato held largely similar views like Vedic Rta (Laws of Nature) in his theory of Forms and Ideas. A few other glimpses of Vedic metaphysics can also seen in Plato’s writings relating to divinity in the noble vocations, social classes, education system extending up to 48 years, value system and need based living, absolute nature of right and wrong and many other concepts. Like Vedas he mentioned worst thing about corruption is that it distorts the concept of knowledge. He must have learnt about the ideal philosopher king Janaka of Bhagavad-Gita assisted by Rishi Yajnvalkya and Rsika Gargi and developed the theory of “philosopher kings” for his Republic. His concept of economics and global trade has great resemblance to Vedic economics and global trade.

While Plato propagated the Vedic concept of scientific temper, his disciple Aristotle spread the message of Physical Sciences of matter with unsuspected vitality without referring to Vedas. Later many of these thoughts are found in the metaphysics of Saint Aquinas, Augustine, Immanuel Kant and many others including some scientists like Newton, Einstein etc.

Is it not surprising that seekers of Vedic knowledge can get PhD Degree in Vedas in USA- the bastion of secularism and a few other Western countries but not in secular India? Even the former Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court Mr. Mohd Ramde Khalilee when he met me about two years ago confirmed that he was a seeker of Vedic knowledge as it originated largely in the then North West India now in Pakistan. Lately an e-mail has been sent to a large number of people by an American Christian “Mike” who has done PhD in Vedic metaphysics. The e-mail says if the world is to be saved from self destruction follow Vedic eternal spiritual science – Sanatan Dharma. Somewhat similar thoughts earlier the great German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer had expressed about Upanishads about two hundred years ago.

Considering the great importance of Vedic metaphysics for the welfare of mankind and Sanatan Dharma (Vedic eternal religion), after studying the metaphysical (Upanishadic) part of four Vedas, I have written the book “Glimpses of Vedic Metaphysics” as a commoner and for the common people who are seekers of Vedic knowledge. P.S
A few more Western thoughts about Vedas.
Great India (through Veda) is the origin of everything intellect, religion and politics and even Greek Heritage seems pale in comparison (Frederich Von Schlegel) German philosopher.
India has created a special momentum in the world history as the country to search for Knowledge. (Friedrich Hegel)
… Revive Vedas and conquer the conquerors through Vedic knowledge without fighting any War. Each follower of Sanatan Dharma needs to become Paramjot– carriers of divine Vedic light- knowledge.
Followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma take the above message as wakeup call and save mankind from self destruction. Evil forces are joining together to destroy the eternal religion Sanatan Dharma.

Vedic Physical Sciences of Matter which has unsuspected Vitality

Subject: Fw: Vedas at your door step- Bring them in with respect–Vedic Physical Sciences of Matter which has unsuspected Vitality

"OMKAR Veda Nirmayi" Guru Nanak Dev ji

God revealed Vedas through the innate knowledge contained in the human souls ofRsis and Munnies (metaphysicists and wandering sages) of yore. (Atharva Veda)

Subject: Vedic Physical Sciences and Scientific Temper

The following observations of eminent/great scientists would appear as if Vedas are being retold.

J.C. Bose found with the help of gross instruments in the laboratory some kind of "fatigue" in metal just like human beings. Gross atoms even in an inanimate thing are born, develop and lose vitality and die. They have mind of their own.

Einstein confirmed in the laboratory the Flux observed earlier by Vedic rsi of yore Kanad and later by Buddha. According to Einstein most of the particles in the sub atomic world live for short period of a small fraction of a nano of a second and change to other particles, while some of those behaving like waves and wavicles. ThisFlux in atoms is a continuous process. Einstein also made certain metaphysical observations like God does not play dice and in all probabilities God has kept some "hidden variable" responsible for this activity.

Isaac Newton in spite of his so many discoveries relating to light, gravitation, laws of motion, certain mathematical laws etc,  was still having a feeling that some thing was missing in his discoveries. He wrote in the Optick " … does it not appear that there is a supreme Being, incorporeal, living, intelligent, omnipresent who in infinite space sees the things themselves intimately and thoroughly, perceives them and comprehends them wholly by their immediate presence to Himself."

Even now many scientists have a feeling that there is some thing beyond sub-atomic particles in the atoms that make these tiny invisible balls to move at a great speed.

The Vedas combine science with metaphysics and clearly mention that it is God who is the giver of knowledge of all sciences as "Sahstra sam " (R.V. 1-10-11). The scientists are advised to study cause and effect of all material elements and also how the objects are produced and there after utilize these properly (R.V. 5-47-3). By following these guidelines they can alleviate much suffering of the people (R.V. 5-77-4). without the knowledge and practical application of physical sciences, it is not possible to eradicate poverty and attain prosperity (R.V. 1-34-1 to 5).

In the Rig-Veda the focal point is the human being and the knowledge about physical sciences contained there in is for the welfare of the entire mankind. This knowledge also helps the human beings to develop Scientific Outlook.

To get a feel of Vedic physical sciences, reference to a few hymns are given in the very beginning. The Sun never sets or rises and it is the earth, which rotates (Sama Veda121). The gravitational effect of solar system makes the earth stable (R.V.1-103-2, 1-115-4 and 5-81-2). The subtle axle of the earth does not get rusted and the earth continues to revolve on its axle (R.V. 1-164-29). The science of Time and its subtle nature is described in (R.V.1-92-12 and 1-95-8). The need to study the properties of water, air and fire for discovering and manufacturing aircrafts, ships and other vehicles capable of moving in the firmament, land and water are mentioned in Rig Veda 1-3-1,2, 1-34-1, 1-140-1 and many other hymns.

Physical sciences relating to agriculture, medicine, astronomy mathematics particularly algebra, toxicology etc. are described in R.V.1-71-9, 4-57-5, Sama Veda 121 and many other hymns/riks.

For a better appreciation of Vedic science, a few terms used in the original Vedic bhasha (language) as contained in the mantras/riks are mentioned. Viman diye neshu for vehicles like aircrafts (RV 1-34-1, 9 and 1-85-7). Vaj gatau- very high-speed vehicles in the air (R.V 6-60-12). Rekha di ganit vidys vigyaya- the science of Algebra (R.V 1-19-1). Surya Vidyau tau- knowledge of the Sun and electricity. Indr-agani- power, energy and electricity (R.V 6-60-12, 13), krishna garbha-knower of Algebra (R.V 6-75-2). Vidyamadi bha vidyut vidyante yashate- in which electric telegraph wires have been arranged (R.V 1-88-1).

Many other terms and words relating to physical sciences can be found in these hymns like kanu, anu, bhutas, maha bhutas, tatva, maha tatva etc., The other terms have been used like Ratha for vehicles moving in the firmament and middle region, on the surface of the earth and over the water, ashvinau for scientists, anu and kanu for gross and subtle atoms, tan matras for sub atomic particles sponda for sound etc. Few other words are amritasya nidhi – ambrosia (R.V. 1-186-3),Brahamand pinda i.e macrocosm and microcosm. In Yajur Veda 18-24 and 25 many terms relating to addition, subtraction, division, square, cube, square root, and cube root have been used. Yajur Veda 18-22 and R.V. 6-22-2 also refer to certain other terms of the physical sciences.

In the Vedas scientists are described as men and women of absolute self-control, truthful with scientific outlook and destroyers of miseries (R.V., 1-3-4). With the help of these scientists one could travel far on the earth and also in the sky through conveyances, which run and touch the middle region (R.V., 1-3-1, 6-22-2 and 1-22-2).

Such scientists from both the sexes go across to distance places quickly like the mind and electricity (R.V., 1-71-9). In this hymn aircrafts and even space ships are hinted. These ashvinaus should be well versed in Physics, agricultural sciences (R.V. 4-57-5), medical sciences (R.V. 5-74-3), astronomy (S.V. 121) and other sciences.

There is a mention of infrared rays, study of Algebra (Rekha di ganit vidya), sound as a medium of knowledge for various sciences, diseases like bile, cough, jaundice and others and their treatment etc. The relevant hymns in this regard are in Rig-Veda 1-185-2, 1-12-1, 2, 1-22-1 to 4, 1-2-3, 1-95-1, 1-101-1 and many other.

A Few Vedic Teachings/Guidelines/Thoughts for the welfare of mankind

Subject: A few Vedic Teachings, Guidelines and Thoughts for the welfare of mankind

1.When Soul (Atma) was provided to human beings Vedas were revealed (Atharva Veda). Human soul contains the entire knowledge of Vedas. It is Vachispatiah- one can communicate with  human soul if you follow Rta- (Cosmic Laws of Necessity)
2. Having created these RTA even God follows these sternly lest great harm is done to Thy Grand wondrous Design. (Rig Veda)
3. Rtam Satyam Dharmmam- Laws of God are eternal truth (satyam) and following these Laws (Rtam) is Vedic Dharma.
4.Rtam Satyam Vijnani- Cosmic Laws of Necessity are eternal truths and finding these Rtam is Vijnani (Knowledge)
5. Purpose of Human birth is to assist Vishwakarma in the maitenance of thy Grand wondrous Design (Rig Veda)

6.O: God give me Wrath against social criminals, fake gurus, non divine people (Avarnas) and wake me up from the deep slumber of insensitivity (Rig Veda)

7. Physical Sciences of matter with unsuspected vitality are important for the welfare of mankind but Scientific Temper is more important (Rig Veda).

What Vedas say about Deadly Disease Corruption

Subjects: 1. The Deadly Disease Corruption in India- Any viable solution?

              2. What Vedas say about Corruption?

Hobbes described in his “Leviathan” that man by nature is ungrateful, fickle, deceitful, cowardly and avaricious. Since human nature of any material man by and large is same, some degree of corruption is throughout the world. However, India is perceived as one of the most corrupt countries. In the developed countries corruption is mostly at higher level and not at grass root level so the common man is not much affected by the same. In India it is at all levels affecting day to day life of the citizens in regard to civic and social amenities. In Singapore , Finland , Australia and a few other countries it is considered as deadly disease both in private and public sectors. Clearly Science of Good Governance can considerably reduce corruption.

In India it is mainly due to our dead, inflexible and redundant colonial systems of pre Independence days in regard to urban and rural administration supplemented by Indian brand of outdated Socialism cause of excessive centralization, corruption and criminalization in politics. Solution lies in attaining Swaraj (self rule), Freedom with accountability, transparency and complete decentralization/bottom up democracy based on science of good governance. Also we should implement without any further delay Amendments number 73 and 74 to the Constitution of India approved in 1992. Without any valid justification these have not been implemented in their entirety so far even after 17 years of their approval by Parliament.

We should have at levels i.e. Central government, State governments and Local governments Ethics Committees consisting of men/women of proved integrity from the public. Their findings on guide lines on ethics should be widely made public every week for their views and implementation

Incidentally Vedas are the supreme scriptures of followers of Sanatan Dharma and UNESCO has accorded Heritage Status to Rig Veda being useful for mankind. I give briefly whatVedas say on Corruption.

With kind regards,
P.K.Sabhlok

(Let noble thoughts come to us from all sides” (Rig Veda)
“Rtam, Satyam, Dharmam,” -Cosmic laws of social, moral and physical orders (Rtam) are eternal truths (Satyam) and following these Rta (cosmic laws) is Vedic Dharma (Rig Veda)

Dear Seekers of Vedic Knowledge and those who are keen to end corrupt practices in the world,

Subject: Corruption as described in Vedas

Recognizing its utility to mankind Rig Veda has been accorded the status of “Heritage” by UNESCO. Rig Veda contains a large number of hymns/riks on the causes of corruption and how to eliminate the same in any mosaic society of individuals following different ptofessions. In the other three Holy Vedas also a few mantras/hymns relate to Corruption.

Sama Veda 179 and 913 describes Corruption as hydra headed, having nine heads (nine kinds) and it enters the human body through ninety nine sources i.e. nine kind of corruption enters through five senses, five sense organs and etani i.e. the outward looking mind (9X11==99). Later Ramayana described this evil through nine corrupt heads of Ravana. We burn his nine corrupt heads every year on Dussehra day. Similarly later Mahabharata described 99 sources of entry of corruption through 99 corrupt sons of blind Kaurva king Dhritrashtra.

99 vritras (powers of evil) are mentioned in Rig Veda 1-84-13. It further says in 1-104-3 taking bribe for money belonging to the state is misappropriation of public funds. All bribe takers are thieves of God and they get rebirth in the foulest of the womb (confirmed even in Bhagavad-Gita). R.V 3-34-6 and Yajur Veda 30-22, the corrupt people should not be allowed by the ruler to mix with people following chatvar varnasharam (four divine professions). Y.V 30-19 and R.V 5-61-8 mention that those persons who praise and justify are also corrupt persons, keep away from them. R.V 1-42-4 even mentions keep away from Gurus (preceptors) who take donations/charity.

Causes of Corruption

1.    The corruption creeps in society when the matter is considered as inert and the members of society do not find any sin in treating the benign mother earth as a quarry. In Rig Vedas spirit of God is in theshuniya (cosmic void) of each sub atomic particle of atom- the building block of matter. Hence the matter has unsuspected vitality and its use on need based living is virtue and its excessive use is a sin. Corruption creeps in a society where economics (artha) is based on inert matter and the possession of wealth/any kind of matter having predominance oftamasic guna of stupor is considered as a matter of pride.

MAYA creates a Golden dazzling Disc for such individuals and hides the truth and Supreme Reality for them. Maya also creates the greatest miracle that we search for God every where when He resides in our hearts.

2. Rig Veda further says that purpose of human birth is to assist nirguna Brahma(ineffable and formless God) who is also Supreme Architect (Viswakarma) in the maintenance of His Grand wondrous Design. For the maintenance of this Design, He has created Rta- eternal cosmic laws of necessity and wants all human beings to follow the same. Having created these eternal laws of nature “He Himself” follows them sternly lest a great harm is done to the cosmic creation. Thus He and His Laws (Rta) are the same. When the individuals in any society starts ignoring these laws available to human beings through the Book of Nature (which even blind individuals can read), corruption creeps in society.

3. R.V 10-34-13 also says that any kind of gambling particularly the game of dice is also cause of corruption. The vehement effect of this evil of the game of dice was described in Mahabharata.
Corruption destroys all the noble attributes of human beings due to pursuit of only material knowledge bereft of spiritual and divine knowledge, which in Vedas is ignorance/nescience/ajnan. (R.V 1-129-6). Only harmonized divine, spiritual and material knowledge is true knowledge (Janan) inVedas.

Start of Corruption

Rig Veda says when even one human being dies of starvation, it is a signal that corruption has crept in society and avarnas (followers of non divine professions) who want honour, power and wealth for themselves have started multiplying. In Kaliyuga (Dark Age) their number far exceeds the followers of divine professions (varnas). Ethics and community welfare becomes the greatest casualty. Rig Veda says the thieves of God (bribe givers/takers) who consider matter as inert become insensitive to hydra headed corruption and resort to ostentatious worship and donations/gift culture to gain social recognition. Most of them drift from darkness to utter darkness through meditation (Isa Upanishad and Yajur Veda). The various virtuous concepts like iddm nan mmamnothing for self all for society akin to enlightened liberalism of Aristotle, moderation of Vedas/middle path of Buddha and the noble concept of illusion of comfort in the vast turbulent sea of matter (Vedic Phantasmagoria-Cosmic delusion MAYA) are no longer considered as virtue in the materialistic corrupt society dominated by non divine avarna, vritras, kimidin etc.

In India this evil of corruption is now becoming “Leviathan” and giant demon and is spreading like wild fire. The guide lines given by the wise metaphysicists (rsis of yore) and wandering sages (munnies of the Vedic period) can help in arresting this nefarious and extremely dangerous drift. Kautaliya in his socio-political treatise “Arthashastra” (partly based on Vedic metaphysics) clearly says the evil of corruption spreads faster when the state gives lip sympathy to curb corruption and promote honesty.

All the four Varna not based on Birth

Dear Seekers of Vedic knowledge,

Subject :The origin of divine four varnas- not based on Birth

Rig Veda 1-113-6, X-90-11 and 12, Y.V. 31-11 and A.V. 19-6-6 explain the origin of four Varna to formless and ineffable Brahman. HE is described as the entire universe visible to the eyes and all other subtle worlds invisible to the eyes, where six communities of divine people, like angels, pitries, gandharvas, karma devas etc., live. Heaven is His head, Sun and Moon are His eyes, the entire universe is His body and the earth is His feet. Brahmin varna is born from His mouth which symbolically represents the heaven. This divine varna was created to spread Brahmajnan- Vedic metaphysics amongst all members of society. Bhagavad-Gita in verse X-32 says, the science of soul or metaphysics is the supreme science. Rig-Veda 6-75-10 mentions that a Brahmin is the knower of God and Vedas. Since the origin of this varna is from heaven- the kingdom of God, which is the place of bliss and supreme knowledge, the followers of this divine profession are to spread Brahma’s knowledge amongst others and bring heavenly conditions i.e. the City of God on this earth.

The human senses and sense organs like eyes, etc. can visualize and even see with the help of scientific instruments the entire gross universe which is the manifestation of the subtle divine Nature and is extremely powerful, disciplined and benevolent. Nature and the ever-expanding universe and cosmos are mentioned in the Vedas as part of His formless body.

Symbolism to the various parts of His Body continues in the Vedic hymns. Kshatriya varna is born from the most powerful shoulders of God. This varna has men and women of great strength who are extremely powerful and benevolent. Their divine duty is to destroy all evil and corruption in society. The individuals belonging to this divine profession are rulers, defence services officers, commander-in-chief, bureaucrats, scientists, technicians etc. (Rig Veda.5-69-2). Their main duty is to protect the people belonging to other three varna and ensure a corruption free society. All monarchs, kings, queens and elected Presidents are Kshatriyas.

However, if a ruler’s son is not virtuous or incompetent he is not entitled to rule the state or country (R.V. 4-19-9). The ashvinaus (scientists) can be both men and women of absolute self-control with scientific outlook (R.V.1-3-4). Kshatriyas are advised to take Soma drink for vigour and energy (R.V 4-45-3). Soma drink is some kind of red coloured herbal drink, which is slightly intoxicant and should be taken with milk or curd.

It is the Mother Earth, which renders selfless service to all animate and inanimate life. Vedic hymns describe the Earth as the feet of the God. Shudra varna is born from the Earth and the members of this Varna based on ability, merit and aptitude render selfless service to other three divine professions. Since all parts of the body are equally important and they help each other for a healthy body, so all these divine Varna should assist, cooperate and sustain each other for achieving an ideal society.

Mandla 10, suktam 90 of Rig-Veda describes the followers of Shudra varna as good at unskilled work, of good physique, handsome and of high character. In the universe, all planets, stars and others perform their allotted task silently and gracefully and it is difficult to say which parts of the gross universe and subtle Prakrti are more important.

The above social scheme of Chatvar Varna Ashram is of divine origin being born of the Body of God. Rig-Veda 10-90-12 has a prayer "O, God give luster to Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaish and Shudra and to me." The basis of Vedic social grouping or Varna is pursuit of divine professions with Dharma and Rta (R.V 10-90-12, AV. 19-6-6, Y.V 31-13 and 17 and Br. Up 1-4-11 to 14). The individuals pursuing these four divine professions while following Rta and Dharma can eat and drink together. They can marry amongst themselves. In the society they are co-workers for prosperity and should make riches flow (AV 1-15-2, 4).

Thus individuals belonging to chatvar varna ashram form an egalitarian society and serve each other. All these four varnas (divine professions) are ordained by God. The fifth non divine Avarnas , Vritras Kimidin are not ordained by God. Thus there are five classes dealing with different professions –four divine and fifth non- divine. Marplots, sorcerers, bribe takers and givers, exploiters, evil minded people form Avarnas. (R.V 1-76-3, 1-191-8, 2-14-3). They are not ordained by God. Being dambhi purush (sycophants and hypocrites) they aim at honour, power and wealth and pretend as servants of the people. The terms used in Vedas for five classes is panch kshatinam, panch manavis etc.

Vedas had also visualized that material prosperity alone may turn a number of individuals into avarnas, vritras and other evil minded people, resulting in lack of transparency, corrupt practices and make an ideal state and open society into a perverted state and closed society (R.V.1-191-8, 1-28-4 and 24, 1-76-3, 2-14-3, 4-9-9).
A few other relevant references are given below:

Female Gurus (preceptors) are mentioned in R.V 3-33-1 to 3 and can teach Vedic metaphysics to students.

Kashtriya Queens who have studied under the Vedic Education system up to the age of 24 years should take the role of protecting the subjects/citizens During the war if the king dies or injured. She can take the help of the Commander-in-Chief. (R.V 6-75-3 to 15)

Women can attend Vidhta and Sabha (religious and political assemblies (R.V 10-85-26, 42 to 47)

There are many other mantras/riks about women studying Vedas. Gargi, Godhra, Lopmudra and many others were the renowned Vedic Rsikas of yore.

Kvaish Aylush, maharsi Valmiki, Vyas became Brahmins though born in other Varnas.

From the above it is apparent from Vedas that four divine Varnas are not by Birth and women and all Varnas can study Vedas. Even non divine Avarnas can move towards Varna by studying Vedas and following their teachings/guidelines.

Metaphysics of Plato is Vedas retold in the West

Subject: the influence of Vedic “rsis and munnies” on PLATO

Let noble thoughts come to us from all sides. (Rig Veda)

Dear seekers of Vedic knowledge,

The metaphysics of Socrates and Plato influenced so much the Western social and spiritual thought and brought enlightenment to the West that today “West” describes Plato as philosophy and philosophy as Plato. We in India seem to have forgotten that that source of his writings and philosophy was Vedic metaphysics.

Like the Vedic concept of moderation and Iddm nan mmam (enlightened liberalism) Plato mentions in his Laws (174-f) and also in Utopia that in an Ideal state the range of economic disparities should be within 1:16.

In an ideal state, which he described as Republic, divine guidance is the maximum and in Tyranny it reaches its minimum and world dissolution (Vedic Pralaya) comes when that divine guidance is totally withdrawn.

Mohd Ramde Khalilee when he met me last year confirmed that he was a seeker of Vedic knowledge as it originated largely in the then N.W India now in Pakistan.

Considering the great importance of Vedic metaphysics for the welfare of mankind and Sanatan Dharma (Vedic eternal religion), after studying the metaphysical (Upanishdic) part of four Vedas, I have written the book “Glimpses of Vedic Metaphysics” as a commoner and for the common people who are seekers of Vedic knowledge. It is not a book on Vedic literature, history or language but contains Vedic guidelines, teachings and thoughts on material, spiritual and divine aspects of human life. The seekers of Vedic knowledge can read and even take print at no cost on website http://www.sabhlokcity.com/metaphysics . Also the book can be accessed through google.com,yahoo.comlulu.com. Kindly render divine noble service and forward this Website to other seekers of Vedic knowledge and strengthen Vedic eternal religion. Suggestions for any improvement in the book conforming strictly to Vedas are most welcome. Within my limitation of knowledge I do try to update the book periodically.

It is high time we establish a University in India where through Vedic studies students could get post graduate and PhD degrees and they strengthen Vedic Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion) in India and abroad.

With kind regards,
Yours spiritual brother,
Prem Sabhlok
